What Is Gutter Cleaning?
Gutter cleaning — sometimes called gutter clearing — is the removal of leaves, moss, silt, seeds and debris that build up inside your gutters and block the flow of rainwater. It is the simplest, cheapest piece of roof maintenance you can do, and the one that prevents the most expensive damage.
When a gutter is blocked, water cannot reach the downpipe. Instead it overflows the edge — soaking the fascia board behind it, running down the external wall, and pooling at the foundation. Fitted correctly, mesh or brush gutter guards significantly reduce the amount of leaf and debris entering the gutter, meaning less frequent clearing and far less risk of overflow. They are not completely fit-and-forget, but they make a real difference on tree-lined streets. We can fit guards as part of a clean or as a standalone job.
